Toilet Paper Roll Birthday Book!

BEST. BIRTHDAY BOOK. EVER!!!

I know that Cyn Gagen will be doing a wonderful 'How To" blog about the making of this beautiful book, but I am so impatient and couldn't wait, so I want to post some pictures NOW and share this heartfelt creation.
Who would think that such beauty could come from toilet paper rolls?  I didn't, until I first heard about them, from Cyn of course, almost one year ago -- and I have been saving all my rolls ever since.

I found it so coincidental that Cyn and I both chose to make books for each other for our respective birthdays ( in March).

I love it and play with it - you know - taking the special tags out of their sleeves and putting them back.
Stay tuned to the Creative EdVentures blog, or Cyn's personal blog, for her complete 'how to' post!

Wonder Where the Yellow Went

Are you intrigued?
Was the title 'catchy'?
or was it a 'PIGment of your imagination'???

Catchy Blog posts titles are KEY to getting them read.  Take the time to educate yourself online and increase your viewership.
It's an excellent time to exercise your inner, punny self! :)

Go ahead and take a stab at it ---   What kind of titles can you come up with for the following blog posts:

1.Mother's day sentiments
2. Friendly plastic jewelery
3. Editing your photos using Photoshop
4. Zentangles done within 'animal shapes'

Give that a start...
Maybe you will let me know how you do. :)
Have fun!

In The Zone - Tonight's Demo for 'Knock on Wood'

What fun Cyn and I had tonight! Our theme was 'Knock on Wood'  and I chose to make a bookmark from Friendly Plastic and Pussy willow  twigs.  Cyn made an adorable 'totem' and you can read more about her demo in her blog post.  To view our show from April 25, here is the link

I loved playing with the Friendly Plastic and melting items into it. It's also nice to not have to glue anything!
To embellish, I added plastic mesh(under the fabric flower), black beaded fringe, and wool fringe.

Reece's Rainbow Tiles

Along with the Creative EdVentures Team, I have happily been participating in this wonderful charity drive and we all committed to producing 4 tiles each.  All that is required is one tile, and many of our followers are busily working on their own tiles and submitting the most beautiful tiles.
Here are my tiles.  I had so much fun that I am planning on making more.
The only criteria: 4X4 square, straight-edged, tiles of chipboard.
Something brown
Vintage themed.
I will follow with a 'how to' for my tiles.
