New Card- Wedding, Anniversary or Any Day

Heading into Wedding Season, but also appropriate for 'any time', this card was created tonight.
There are so many elements to this card. The beautiful green card is from DCWV 'Taj Mahal' stack.

I love this graphic card. It is framed with photo corners by EK Success Laura Ashley and teeny, tiny bling stickers. A little strip of gossamer ribbon drapes the image like a canopy.

The white card stock ws inked with Ancient Pages and Adirondack White paint dauber.
Corners punched courtesy Martha Stewart.

DEMO:Flip Pal and How the 'SEWING (stitch scans)FEATURE' works:

Tonight on 'ROBI@NITE' I demonstrated how I scanned a piece of stationary.  This, of course, applies to any photo, drawing, frame, etc larger than 4X6 inches.

It required 3 scans.  The fantastic software built into the memory card allows you to 'sew' or piece together many individual scans to make one large pictures.  The key is to make sure each scan overlaps the area of the previous scan.
For larger items requiring scanning, there is a correct direction or order in which you need to scan the item.  i.e. for an item 2 feet square, you need to scan horizontally , starting at the top left.
Here are the 3 individual scans:

And here is the final picture.

Several viewers requested I put the stationary online,  but after careful thought, realized this is copyrighted and therefore added the watermark before I posted them.  These pictures are for demonstration purposes only.

Duct Tape Passport Holder

Tonight on In the Zone (9 pm EST every Monday) our theme was Ticket to Ride. I chose to make a Passport Holder (to hold my passport AND ticket to ride)!
Duct tape sure has come a long way!

Inside the passport holder. 3 pockets.
The following items were used to make this project:
Cardboard for base
Fancy duct tape - tie dye and tulip patterns
Aleene's Tacky Glue Stick
Stamp motif gift wrap paper
Foreign currency coins
PdQ chip shapes Love Bug
Index cards for pockets
Maps from Car Map books
Cuttlebug

Clear tape with a print

You could actually make this entire project without any glue. By using a clear tape with a faint design you can seal all your papers in place and effectively wrap the entire holder.  Just remember when you seal the inside pockets that you do NOT seal the top of the pocket.
Conversely you could just use Liquitex to seal everything in. You would then have to deal with drying time and several coats to seal everything.  In my opinion it's better using the duct tape and much quicker:)
I hope you enjoyed what I made today.
If you did, please let me know. Thank you, Robi

My 1st TAP dance!

My first TAP dance!! It was so much fun and very easy to do. This is the project I made for the May 16th episode of In the Zone.
I had some TAP (Transfer Artist Paper) sent to me, courtesy C&T Publishing and used it in this project.  I chose black and white fabric (stripes and toile) to transfer the images on.
TAP
Using the TAP was quite simple: I created an image I wanted to transfer to my fabric; in this case I wrote a poem and wanted to display it over an image of a piano.  Once I was satisfied with my image and saved it as a jpeg file I selected the Print button.  I had placed the special TAP paper  into the printer already, making sure the purple side was facing down. You do not need to adjust the paper setting but you MUST adjust the printer option which allows you to print the MIRROR image of your chosen design.  If there is any print in your image you must 'mirror' or 'reverse' the print  so that it will print out properly when it is applied to your desired surface.
Creating your image on the computer

wrong way to put in your paper; you do not want to see the purple side (the other side is white)

You want the white side up

Most important when your image has printing - check the Mirror Image box before you print.

Once your image is printed (using an InkJet NOT a Laser), you can take your iron and by applying heat, transfer the image to your desired surface.

Thank you for reading my post. If you liked it, please let me know.
Thank you, Roberta.
