Birthday Card Guys Will Like, Too

I wanted to take advantage of the 'Fall' colours but not make something 'seasonal' because I don't really have a demand for Halloween or Thanksgiving-themed cards.
Here is my take on a neutral card using the beautiful umbers, bronze, copper, and pumpkin families.
What was involved?
Cardstock -WAMK pumpkin 12" square folded in quarters
Mosaic - I used the NEGATIVE from a gold 'Peel-Offs' design.  While it was still on the backing paper, I stamped it with moss green Studio G ink and then used Melt Art (Suze Weinberg)Ultra Thick Embossing  Enamel to give it the glossy and burnished look.  I totally LOVE how it turned out.

Sentiment and border decals (Peel-Offs).
Butterfly embellishment - plain chipboard (punched), butterfly stamp(taken from larger Inkadinkado stamp and applied with Black StazOn. Butterfly coloured with Faber-Castell PITT artist pen big brush (Dark Naples ochre) and gold PITT artist pen.
I used the same embossing powder (3 dips). Edges of chip board are accented with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink (Cosmic Copper).
Tape is 7 Gypsies.
Corner punch - Martha Stewart
Chalks and Rangers Distress Ink to shade the card stock.

I hope you like my latest creation!

  2. Thanks Christine! I really got into using the powder during my classes at Scrapfest and I love the different looks I can get depending on what I am pouring it on :)
