Wednesday Stamp Release for Addicted-to-Stamps

I love this image by Tara McDonald Medrano.  This is my first project for the Addicted-to-Stamps and Scrapbook Stamp Society. I chose a side-step card so I could add dimension.

I think you will find that I have a bit of a 'different take' on images and incorporating them into cards and mixed media.

The fish are layered on 2 different printed acetate sheets  ( K&Company) and one on the backdrop.
The iridescent paper along the base is Fantasy Film
The blue backdrop is a mixed media piece I made using thick swirl stickers, Winsor & Newton gesso and Ranger alcohol inks. I felt it would make a nice base for the card and is adhered to the last 'valley' of the side-step card. The sentiment was printed as the 'header' for my image when I printed it out.

This is my favourite shot because I set the lighting up in such a way to try to create an underwater effect with the sun streaming down through the depths to our beautiful mermaid.

To colour the image I used:
Craf-T Products Decorating Chalks
Rangers Stickles and Distress Stickles - Green, Fired Brick,Spiced   Marmalade, and Golden Rod
Faber-Castell PITT artist pen, black, fine line
Marvy Twinklettes Pigmented Glitter Marker - Blue, Green
Rangers Glossy accents

Thank you for visiting,
~Robi :)
