Newfangled Neo Chain Blog Hop

Dazzle-it floral neo chain pendant Today we are hopping with Carmi Cimicata and wonderful designers to bring to you the gorgeous Neo Chain line of bi-coloured chains and coordinating findings.

I have 2 designs for you today. The first uses the beautiful green/gold chain.

I recently made a kumihimo braid of orange and green ribbon and rattail cord, but I didn't have anything yet in mind to make with it. If you want to see more examples of kumihimo jewelry check out the Dazzle-it site.

The pendant with glass accents is from Vintage Romance by Debby Anderson. It came in a matte silver finish, but because gold is a prominent colour in the chains, I did not like the silver with it; so I altered it.

To alter the pendant: I used Tim Holtz® Adirondack® alcohol inks in (a mix of watermelon and sunshine yellow) and citrus and once dry, brushed on a layer of Ranger Glossy Accents.

I really enjoyed working with the Neo Cut Chain; it has a beautiful feel and weight to it and the colours are so vibrant. Having coordinating jump rings, clasps, and ear hooks is a great feature, too.

I had a lovely assortment of precious stones to choose from and grabbed this lovely purple one.

I find that the chain actually feels very soft on the skin, and when the light catches the colours it can be quite spectacular!
