Busy Busy Busy

I have been SO busy! I have worked over 80 hours in the past 2 weeks which is something I am NOT used to. The new Michaels store opened in North York and there was a lot of sample-making and other preparatory work for the Grand Opening.  I still had demos and classes to teach at my other location (Michaels Markham).

The new store is beautiful!
It is very unique because it is in an urban setting, right in the heart of a very vibrant neighbourhood. The classroom is GORGEOUS! It is beautifully painted and has custom cabinetry. My favourite feature is the natural light provided by huge windows. One 'wall of windows' looks out onto Yonge Street and the other 'wall of windows' is the wall adjacent to the main entrance and foyer. There are two floors accessible by escalators and an elevator. The store is entirely wheelchair accessible and there are scooters available as well as a wheelchair.

Here are some photos to give you an idea of how I spent my first two weeks at the new store.
I think I recognize the person at the front of the line!

My Sister-in-Law Susan surprised me with a supportive visit!

Classes are in full swing and I am thrilled with the enthusiasm and interest shown by our customers. I have never had so many student sign-ups and I'm beyond ecstatic.

My Introduction to Scrapbooking class (Spotted Canary School) is SOLD OUT for August!!

  3. The nicest Michael's I have ever seen. It is stunning, and you are right about the natural light coming in. It's no surprise your classes are sold out. You are a great teacher, who does her research on the subject you are teaching. It's wonderful you are patient with you students. Your always up on the latest craft techniques as well.

    Kindest regards,
    Cindy Coleman
