Painting with Resin - Quickie Canvas!

I picked up a few of these wonderful wood plaques from the dollar store.
Bloom resin plaqueI mixed up resin for another project and didn't need all of it, so I immediately grabbed this wood canvas and mixed the resin with pigments. In some areas I poured it thicker.  I poured it directly onto the wood and let it run about.
I also 'wrote' out "Bloom" with 18 gauge copper wire and used it to form the stem and pot for the button flowers.
The buttons were given a coat of resin, too.
For the matte areas I dry-brushed chalky finish paint and also around the edges.

I gave the entire piece a quick coat of resin spray as a finishing touch.

and...........it's ready to hang up!
