Letters from My Past

Preface: I was in Europe and my parents were en route to the Catskill mountains via Quebec.  Mom still wrote to me every day.   

July 6, 1977

Dearest Roberta,

We are at Le Quatre Saisons hotel in Montreal.  This is a very deluxe hotel.  I've fallen in love with the bathroom and don't think I'll leave it.   At last I've found a towel that goes completely around me!

Bon nuit ma cheri, or is it mon cheri?  Whatever - it means I love you.
