During my trek of the Great Tanned South, I took it upon myself to visit every Art Supply store I could find, give them a little business, and continue on with my life. I am pleased with my most excellent shopping skills and purchasing items unavailable to the unfortunate Canadians of the North.
One item I had my sights set on was Friendly Plastic - and at $1.17 a stick, it was too hard a bargain to pass up; so I loaded up the bottom right side of my cart with many colours, and eagerly anticipated my return home where I could learn to play with them.
I whipped out my red teflon baking sheet, brand new 'Drill Master' heat gun ($9.99 from Harbor Freight), scissors, and assortment of sticks, and brought on the heat!

Instead of trying to store my sticks in a drawer, I grabbed the spindle that comes with many document storage boxes. I can hang the spindles and easily remove the desired strips when needed. I am also using the spindles to organize all my embellishments and anything that has a 'hang tag' or 'hole' -- much easier than rummaging! |
See? It is so easy to access the strips now! |
I have been tempted to try this product but for now I will be strong and resist until I get UFO's and craft organizing done. This stuff looks great. Have fun!
